Lines in the Sand tells the story of a selfless, loving earthly father who has always been a great representation of our Heavenly Father. Rena Gunther (better known to me as my mom) has painted a beautiful picture of James Robinson (my grandfather) and the struggles and triumphs that every father has. Our large family has always interested me, but even for someone who is not a part of our family, this book is intriguing and keeps you wanting more till the very end.
Funny, entertaining, tear jerking, wonderful read. Highly recommend.
The author, Rena Robinson Gunther is a former high school student of mine. Unfortunately I taught her math so can not take any credit for her writing skills. Her first book, Lines In The Sand, pays homage to her father, James Delmar Robinson.
I found the book to be very well written and contains many insights into life, both the good times and the struggles which all of us endure. It is a story of faith and endurance.
